Alice Diop, born in 1979 in Senegal, currently living in France, has a PhD in Visual Sociology. She has started filmmaking in 2005 at La Femis workshops and during these years made movies such as The World Tour (2005), Clichy for Example (2005), Senegalese and Senegalese (2007), Danton's Death (2011), and Towards Tenderness (2016). "On Call" is the second feature film of this French filmmaker.
