Synopsis:
Azeneth is a mexican who sets out on a journey in search of her own identity called by a mysterious family anecdote: her grandmother's incarceration in the 70’s in Bolivia. This autobiographical documentary, told through the voices of its protagonists, is an intimate exploration of emotions, family relationships, the impact that politics and exile have on them, and that exposes the role that women play within this family nucleus.

Azeneth Farah was born in Mexico City. She studied cinema in Spain and has a degree in Creative Writing. Has been working as a cinematographer and film editor since 2005. As a director has worked in a few short films and after a long and emotional process has finally finished her first long documentary feature I Laugh at Waves.
