Synopsis:
The Prophet Muhammad’s migration or hijra from Makkah to Madinah is so significant in the Islamic history that the date marks the beginning of the Muslim calendar. One person who has made it his principal life’s work researching the hijra route, is Dr. Abdullah al-Kadi. Following Dr al-Kadi and his research team, we will discover the underlying significance of each site along the way yields up its particular contribution to the story of the Prophet’s hijra.
